Bagnal Jr., 91, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Rev. Shane Phillips. Interment will follow in Westside Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David Dangerfield, Phillip Dangerfield, Clay Staples, Derrell Bickley, Eddie Porter and Phillip Prynne. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. this Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Crossroads Baptist Church, 2500 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, SC 29169 or to WW II Honor Flight of South Carolina, P.O. Box 292421, Columbia, SC 29229. Mr. Bagnal went to be with the Lord, Monday, November 21, 2011. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Clayton B. Bagnal Sr., and Mary Lila McCall Bagnal. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and had retired from Bagnal Builders Supply Company. Mr. Bagnal was very active in the Baptist faith; he was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughter, Donna B. Heath (Albert) of Alcolu; son, David B. Bagnal (Pam) of Lilburn, GA; brother, Richard Earnest Bagnal of Hopkins; and a granddaughter, Hannah Bagnal of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Willadeane Wise Bagnal, and brother, Arthur Bagnal. Family and friends may sign online guest book at www.thompsonsfuneral.com.
