| HIST | Jesse J. Rodriguez Jesse James Rodriguez, age 43, beloved husband of Victoria Lynn Sweeney Rodriguez, died on May 23, 2011, at Hock Family Pavilion Hospice Home in Durham, N.C. He was born in Del Rio, Texas, a son of retired Master Sgt. Concption Rodriguez and Minnie Juanez Rodriguez. He retired from BD as a maintenance support tech. He loved to coach baseball and coached for Sumter PARD and the Dixie Youth Baseball in Oxford, N.C. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and was a number one Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved his family and his friends and will always be remembered as a very loving husband, son, father, friend and loving best friend to his dog, Roger. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two sons, Nolan James Rodriguez and Ryan Thomas Rodriguez, both of Oxford; four brothers, Randy Rodriguez and his wife, Norma, of Oyster Creek, Texas, Charles Rodriguez of Summerville, Rick Rodriguez of Camden and John Rodriguez and his wife, Terri, of Sumter; a sister, Susan Rodriguez Myers and her husband, Tim, of Pinellas Park, Fla.; many nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Melissa Faucette. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rusty Conyers and Deacon Larry Corum officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers will be his sons and brothers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Rodriguez and Mark Veysey. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bullock Funeral Home and at others times at the home of his parents, 1696 Spigner Road, Alcolu, and his sister-in-law, 796 Griffin St. (off of McCrays Mill Road), Sumter.
