Gerald Watts who married Laly Jeannette! jkh William Gerald Watts William Gerald Watts SUMTER - William Gerald Watts, 76, husband of the late Jeanette Arrington Watts, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Palmetto Health Tuomey. Born July 24, 1940, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Jackson Lee Watts, Sr. and the late Wilma Mae Evans Watts. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church at Oswego. He served in the S.C. National Guard and retired as a foreman from Sumter Builders after 30 years of service. Survivors include a brother, Jackson Lee Watts, Jr. of Surfside Beach; two stepsons, Freddie Arrington and Ernie Arrington; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of his niece, Judy Elmore, 1375 Walcora Drive, Sumter. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children , 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
