Amy Lynn Wannamaker and Jeffrey Perrin Jones were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Sumter. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Dean Wannamaker of Sumter, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lambert Wannamaker and Mrs. Dorothy Felkel Reid, the late Charles Lindsey Bolden Sr. and the late James Hamlin Reid Jr., all of Sumter. She graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She is employed as a sixth-grade teacher at Chestnut Oaks Middle School. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Perrin Jones of Sumter, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Jones Jr. of Pinewood, and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin E. Weatherly and the late Richard W. Ridgill of Sumter. He graduated from The Citadel with a bachelor of science degree in business communication. He is employed by Blanchard Caterpillar in Columbia. The Rev. Don Hansen officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Gertrude Lyons, organist; and Jeremy Hansard and Jill Jones, vocalists. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless, satin empire, pleated bodice gown embellished with alencon, lace and pearls, and ending in a chapel train. She carried a French hand-tied bouquet of blush pink Anna roses outlined by cream Virginia roses tied with a white organza ribbon. Leslie Ann Wannamaker served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Staci Denise Dillard, Lauren Catherine Harris, Laura Flenniken Jones, Mandi Leigh Keown, Kristi Chapman Knight, Heather Jean LaVanish and Samantha Collins Sanders. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Serving as groomsmen were Kelly Benjamin Jones, Michael Scott Jones, Richard Thomas Jones, Russell Bernard Jones, Jeremy Ryan Knight, William Zachary Lester III and Davis Leroy Reames IV. Also participating were Stephanie Chapman and Lainie Goodrick. The reception and rehearsal party were held at the Sumter County Museum.
