Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Perry Session Johnson and Frances Arabella Strickland Johnson. Mrs. DeLorme was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Beuclare Chapter 20 Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Shepherd's Center. She was retired from Frank's Service Center and from Sumter Concrete as a bookkeeper. Surviving are one son, Robert P. DeLorme and wife, Melissa, of Stone Mountain, Georgia; one daughter, Frances D. Clement and husband, Merritt, of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter-in-law, Deborah D. DeLorme of Orangeburg; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William M. DeLorme Jr.; two sisters, Merldeen Harrelson and Perra Comings and husband, Robert; and a brother, John W. Johnson and wife, Dorothy. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph James officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow in Sumter Cemetery.
