| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina 910 Wisteria Way of Summerton, South Carolina BETTY INEZ REESER Posted Friday, January 3, 2025 11:33 am SUMMERTON — Our precious mother, Betty Inez Reeser, 91, went to the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, at her home, surrounded by family. She was the widow of Albert Eldon Reeser Jr. Born in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Theo Charles Stewart and the late Beulah Horton Stewart. She was a member of the Sumter First Church of God. Surviving are six daughters, Debbie Johnson, Dianne Blanton (Steve), Tammy Reynolds (Guy Girard), Jeanie Smith, Penny Stone (Todd) and Laurie Reeser; three sons, Tad Reeser (Jeannette), David Reeser (Cindy) and Sandy Reeser (Lesley); 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Reeser. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lil Brown, and brothers, Dickie Stewart and T.C. Stewart. Mrs. Reeser was the heart and soul of our family and will always be truly loved and cherished. She was devoted to her faith and loved her church family, where she had previously served on numerous church committees. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Sumter First Church of God with the Rev. Ron Bower officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Sumter First Church of God. The burial will be private at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Sumter. Pallbearers will be Josh Reeser, Rusty Lloyd, Aaron Reeser, Alexander Reeser, Miles Altman and Matthew Dailey.
