• Notes

  affectionately known as “Captain Joe” died early this morning at Bruce Hospital after being in declining health for several years. He was one of the founders of the Southern Methodist Church of Florence and one of it’s active members, being chairman of the board of stewards for a number of years, and member of the Men’s Bible Class. He was a life member of Hampton Masonic Lodge No. 204, a member of the Omar Temple Shrine and a former member of the Order of Railway Conductors. [3]
