Phillips of Lynchburg. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Zaytoun and Mrs. Sue Davenport and the late P.W. Davenport. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Pharmacy School. She is employed by Walgreen's Pharmacy. The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John H. McNeill and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Phillips. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in accounting. He is employed by Glaxo Smith Kline. The wedding is planned for Aug. 13, 2005, at West New Bern Presbyterian Church in New Bern. Davenport - Phillips Posted Saturday, August 13, 2005 8:00 pm NEW BERN, N.C. -- Jennifer Dawn Davenport and John Hector Phillips were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at West New Bern Presbyterian Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Scott Davenport Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Carmichael of New Bern, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Sue Davenport of New Bern and the late P.W. Davenport Jr. and the late Kelly and Emily Zaytoun. She graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a doctorate in pharmacy. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Osteen Phillips of Lynchburg, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hector McNeill and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Osteen Phillips. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in accounting. The Revs. Shirley Rogers and Robert Griggs officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Cindy Sutton, organist; and George Zaytoun Jr., vocalist. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Lisa Smith served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Davenport, Adrienne Doctor, Krish Plyler, Cheryl Reid and Morgan Smith. Reese Davenport and Matti Smith served as flower girls. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Chance Atkinson, Taylor Holt, Will Mims, Chris Moore, Wesley Phillips, Cameron Phillips, Curt Plyler and Parker Smith. Andy Plyler served as ring bearer. Also participating were Blair Davenport, Ashton Smith, Caroline Zaytoun, Michael Smith and George Zaytoun III. The reception was given by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Davenport and Mr. and Mrs. Carmichael, at the New Bern Golf and Country Club.
