| HIST | GREGORY RUSSELL TATE Posted Saturday, February 1, 2020 6:00 am Gregory Russell Tate, age 60, died on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born on Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois, he was a son of Shirley M. Tate and the late Edward W. Tate. Mr. Tate worked in the construction business for many years. Surviving are his mother, Shirley M. Tate of Sumter; one brother, Steven E. Tate of Cayce; former wife, Elizabeth Ann Kolb Hancock of Sumter; two stepdaughters, Amy Fuller Watson of Sumter and Cassie Hill Mathis of Franklin, North Carolina; and two grandchildren, Sarah Copeland and Warren Brogdon Watson. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward W. Tate; and his brother, Dwayne David Tate. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. today at Bullock Funeral Home.
