| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina BARBARA HARRIS BAKER Posted Tuesday, July 30, 2019 6:00 am Barbara Harris Baker, 68, wife of Francis "Buddy" Baker, died Sunday, July 28, 2019, at her home. Born May 21, 1951, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late James C. Harris Jr. and Christine Shirer Miles. She was employed for many years by Tuomey hospital and later by Gold Kist. She attended Green Acres Assembly of God and Smithville Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her husband of 48 years; two children, Francis "Joey" Baker and Kathy "Sissy" Lambert (Richard), both of Sumter; six grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Richard Lambert Jr., Joseph Smith (Brittany), Miranda Lambert, Anthony "A.J." Smith and Pamela Erin Baker, all of Sumter; two great-grandchildren, Hailey Ann Smith and RaeLynn Nicole Lambert; and two siblings, Joyce Miles Truitt of Altamonte Springs, Florida, and O'neal Edward Miles of Sumter. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements. [4, 9] | |
