| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina 335 Winn St. MARY LOUISE BRUNSON DELK Posted Friday, February 7, 2020 6:00 am Mary Louise Brunson Delk, 103, widow of Judson Haigler Delk, died on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at National Healthcare Center. Born in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late Florence Jones Brunson. Mrs. Delk was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church. She was a retired sales clerk with the Capitol Department Store. She was also a former member of the Lamplighter Club. Surviving are a daughter, Hazel Delk Walker (Johnny) of Sumter; a granddaughter, Jenny Walker Buck (Alan); a grandson, John J. Walker Jr. (Courtney); and three great-grandchildren, Sienna Buck, Gussie Walker and Isaac Walker, all of Columbia. She was preceded in death by nine siblings. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 335 Winn St. Memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 1004 N.
