Gerald Watts and the late Laly Jeannette Watts of Sumter, and the late Ernest Fred Arrington of Spartanburg, and Mrs. Betty Reeser and the late Albert Reeser of Sumter. She graduated from Sumter Christian School. She is employed by the Sumter Soil & Water Conservation District. The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schmotzer of West Columbia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Pitts of Clinton. He graduated from the American Military University with a bachelor of science in history. He is a pilot in the United States Air Force Reserves.
