- 1. When he was younger, it’s been told that when his Aunt, Ma's sister who married the twin of my great grandmother, Julian, his two kids were playing with Daddy, and the boy was messing around with a pistol and threaten Daddy with the gun and later shot himself. The boy died and the girl went to a mental home. He left home at an early age and was an undertakers assistant, a cowboy and eventually enlistedin the Navy and spent 10 years in the Old Asiatic Fleet in the submarines. He was on the R-4,the S-22. He got out in 1931 and went back to his father and became a salesman for auto parts. After moving to Miami Beach, Montgomery, Alabama, and them back to Miami, he joined up again when the Navy wanted him back several months before Pearl Harbor. He stayed in the Navy until when he retired with 26 years in the Navy. He went into air conditioning with a firm in Miami and then got a job with PanAm down range taking care of their power requirements. He had a heart attack and they disharged him. He then acquired a lawnmower shop and spent his remaining time there, at Five Points, off of 520 in Cocoa, Florida. [1]
