SUMMERTON -- Arthur Charles Hellthaler Sr., 88, husband of Zada Hodge Hellthaler, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Palmetto Health Richland. Born Dec. 7, 1916, in New York City, he was a son of the late Charles and Josephine Mauthe Hellthaler. He was a retired master machinist for General Motors in New York and was of the Lutheran faith. Surviving besides his wife of Summerton are two sons, Arthur C. Hellthaler Jr. of White Plains, N.Y., and Gary Hellthaler of Wappinger Falls, N.Y.; a sister, Ruth Reichelt of Eastchester, N.Y.; a granddaughter, Martine H. Sayers. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. Walter Minor officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, N.Y. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning.
