I am going to make him “Sr.” also. jkh of Sumter, South Carolina WILLIAM WALTER WHEELER Posted Wednesday, May 26, 2021 6:00 am William Walter "Walt" Wheeler, 95, widower of Janet Olsen Wheeler, died Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Morningside. Born June 27, 1925, in the Home Branch community of Clarendon County, he was a son of the late William Walter Wheeler and Sally Bryant Wheeler. He retired from Colonial Foods and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, Richard D. Wheeler (Dani) of Sumter; three grandchildren, Will Wheeler (Keyes) of Bishopville, Ashleigh Newsome (Will) of Hartsville and Kenton Wheeler (Casey) of Sumter; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William Walter "Bill" Wheeler Jr. Services will be private. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
