| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina JANET OLSEN WHEELER Posted Tuesday, April 2, 2019 6:00 am Janet Olsen Wheeler, 88, wife of William Walter "Walt" Wheeler Sr., died on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Morningside of Sumter. Born on July 17, 1930, in Pepperell, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Harold B. and Dorrice Bradish Olsen. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband; a son, Richard D. Wheeler (Dani) of Sumter; three grandchildren, Will Wheeler (Keyes) of Bishopville, Ashleigh Newsome (Will) of Hartsville and Kenton Wheeler (Casey) of Sumter; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Elanor Crawford of Connecticut and Margie Bineau (George) of Maine. She was preceded in death by a son, William Walter "Bill" Wheeler Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Suzanne Walker officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements. [2, 3] | |
