| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina Hudson-Conant MANNING - Paige Hudson of Sumter and Thomas Conant of Manning were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Hudson of Sumter, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Norma Beck and the late James Hedgecoth and the late Richard Beck, and Dorothy Boykin and the late Charles F. Hudson and the late J.T. Boykin. She graduated cum laude from Winthrop University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in music education. She is employed by Newberry County School District. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott H. Conant of Manning, and the grandson of the late Carl Sr. and Ellen Conant, the late Sheriff Jehu and Mrs. Mary Julia Jackson, and Mrs. Katherine McClam. He attended the University of South Carolina and graduated from Central Carolina Technical College with an associate's degree in computer networking. He is employed as an assistant manager at Simpson Hardware, Savannah Plaza, Sumter. The Rev. Andrew Taylor officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Mrs. Anne Dave', pianist; and Brett Mezey, vocalist. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a fitted lace gown featuring a delicate V-shaped neckline and back, embellished with buttons and glass beads along the back seam and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of purple irises, blue hydrangea and white lilies. Mrs. Jamie Wilson served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jaimie Hodgens, Ellen Conant and Gabrielle Joye. Elizabeth Kiehn served as flower girl. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Cameron Wilson, David Kiehn and Daniel Truesdale. John David Kiehn served as ring bearer. Also participating were Rebekah Austin and Kelsey Steele. The reception was given by the bride's parents at The Matrix Center in Manning. The rehearsal party was given by the bridegroom's parents at Tiger Pond in Manning. Following a wedding trip to Tucson, Ariz., the couple will reside in Sumter. - - - The couple is registered at Belk, Target (www.target.com), Bed Bath and Beyond (www.bedbathandbeyond.com); Simpson Hardware (Wesmark location) and Walmart (www.walmart.com).
