The Church of the Holy Comforter will observe 150 years of service in Sumter at a celebration in the Parish Life Building on Tuesday and will simultaneously unveil a newly penned book on the church’s history. In honor of the sesquicentennial anniversary, David Peek has written an illustrated history of the Episcopal Church located on the corner of Main and Calhouns streets. [1] |
