Born in Chesterfield, she was a daughter of the late David Overby and Annie Bell Capell Overby. Surviving are her husband of Alcolu; two sons, Anthony Elmore of Alcolu and Jerry Geddings Jr. of Sumter; three daughters, Jeannette Manha and Barbara Mayes, both of Alcolu, and Angela Peunte of Sumter; three sisters, Joyce Carpenter of Columbia, Dianne Graham and Brenda Overby, both of Sumter; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Pinewood Cemetery with the Rev. Allen Lynch officiating.
