| HIST | of Manning, South Carolina Are her parents Mrs. Mamie Geddings and the late Murray Geddings? jkh SARAH ANN GEDDINGS POPLIN Posted Saturday, October 30, 2021 6:00 am MANNING - Sarah Ann Geddings Poplin, 84, widow of Felder Wayne Poplin Sr., died on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on Sept. 22, 1937, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Geddings Sr. and Alethea Rachel Jackson Geddings. She was the manager of Carpet Wholesalers with more than 45 years of service. She was a member of Home Branch Baptist Church. She is survived by five children, Felder Wayne Poplin Jr. (Janice) of Oswego, Lee Wells (Jerry) and Cris Rodgers (Terry), both of Manning, Jo Bozeman (Charles) of Sumter and Carol Bochette of Turbeville; 13 grandchildren, Teryl Poplin (Grace), Ben Rodgers (Jill), Lori Jordan (Josh), Felder Wayne "Tripp" Poplin III (Cathryn), Courtney Lucas (Averitt), Candace Keefe (Kyle), Cole Poplin, Stephanie Wells, Adam Wells (Cassidy), Abbey Bray (Chris) and Mitchell Bochette (Ashley Hackworth); 14 great-grandchildren, Sara Grace Poplin (Ricky Ard), Luke and Grayson Rodgers, Riley, Mason and Pierson Jordan, Chase and Cristin Lucas, Raegan Keefe, Caleb and Jack Poplin, Kian Sbrega, Olivia Bray and Trent Bochette; a great-great-grandson, Eli Rivers; two brothers, Will Geddings and Murray Geddings; three sisters, Mary Rose "Toots" Hodge, Naomi Dukes and Beverly Padgett, all of Manning; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Home Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Bennie Barwick and the Rev. Allan Glass officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Home Branch Baptist Church and other times at the home of Cris and Terry Rodgers, 2069 Hodge Circle, Manning. The family would like to thank Prisma Health Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
