| HIST | ROBERT EDWARD WATFORD SR. Posted Thursday, October 6, 2022 6:00 am Robert Edward Watford Sr., 48, died on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, in Georgetown. Born on March 13, 1974, in Manning, he was a son of the late Robert Mitchell Watford and Robin Lyn Roberts Watford. He was an avid Clemson Tigers fan. Survivors include seven children, Robert Norton, Kayla Thames (Tyquon), Kathy Watford, Chelsie Watford, Michael Watford (Tamara), Robbie Watford and Gavin Watford; two adopted children, Anna Griffin and L.J. Griffin; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie Watford and Ryan Watford (Sandra); three sisters, Rebecca Hodge (Jimmy), Samantha Watford and Megan Childers (Kevin); and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Lee Watford. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel, officiated by the Rev. Ronnie Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be Artie McIntosh, Michael Albright, Tyquon Thames, Stephon Smith, David Butler and William Huggins. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Kyla Watford, 1240 Gulledge Circle, Wedgefield.
