Boyce, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at Palmetto Health Tuomey. Born Nov. 21, 1936, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late James E. Hodge and Mary Askins Hodge. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was employed at Best Lumber Company for more than 27 years. Survivors include three daughters, Carol Whitfield (Ronnie), Ellen Cox (Eric Mohr), and Kathi Collins (David); seven grandchildren, Paul Geddings (Kimmy), Mandy Geddings (Tate Taylor), Tina Ackerman (Mike), Will Davis, Joshua Heath (Danielle), Kacee Collins (Travis), and Nikki Davis (Michael); four step-grandchildren, Jerry A. Cox Jr., Lisa Maynor, Stacie Clark, and Aaron Whitfield; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Diane LeBleu (Tom); two brothers, Reginald "Red" Hodge (Barbara) and Robert Hodge (Beth); and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Leroy Burke and the Rev. Pat Coffey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joshua Heath, Paul Geddings and Will Davis, and nephews, Jamey Hodge, Colby Hodge, and Lance Hodge. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne McElveen, David Boyce, Eric Westphal, Alex Westphal, employees of Best Lumber Company, and employees of McElveen Manor. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Carol Whitfield, 6005 Squaw Valley Road, Wedgefield.
