Born in Greenwood, September 4, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Walter Warren and Maude Ellison Strom. Mrs. Reid was a graduate of Greenwood High School and formerly co-owned Ramar Laboratories and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Gwen Reid Brownlee and husband Col. William Ray Brownlee of Hilton Head Island and Ann Reid Long and husband Ted Long of Greenwood; five grandchildren, William Ray Brownlee, III, Martin Townes Brownlee and wife Leslie Brownlee, Todd Reid Dyar and wife Betty Dyar, Haven Long Hart and husband David Hart and Jeffrey Reid Long; a sister, Warrenette Hawkins and husband Buddy and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Blyth Funeral Home from 2:00 to 3:00 Monday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 722 Grace Street, Greenwood, SC, 29649 or to Hospice Care of the Piedmont-Hospice House, 408 W.
