GEDDINGS BISHOPVILLE - Willie Minor Geddings, 75, beloved son of the late Willie M. and Viola Poole Geddings, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at McCoy Memorial Nursing Center. Mr. Geddings was born Dec. 1, 1935. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was an avid lover of sports. He may have gone home but he will remain in our hearts, and we know we will see him again. Now he is at peace with his Father. He is survived by his children, William B. Geddings and his wife, Barbara, Pamela Windham and her husband, Chuck, and Cora Cleveland and her husband, Richard, all of Dalzell; one brother, Pete Geddings and his wife, Carolyn, of Sumter; one sister, June Durham and her husband, Randy, of Sumter; two grandchildren, Kristin Geddings and Charles Windham; one great-grandchild, Savannah Jenson; and his beloved Chihuahua, Chico. He is preceded in death by one sister, Joanne Henderson. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Providence Southern Methodist Church, Red Lane Road, Dalzell, SC 29040.
