Edmund Knight DuBois May 2, 1927 ~ October 28, 2020 (age 93) Recommend219 Obituary & Services Tribute Wall Obituary Sumter, SC…Edmund Knight DuBois, age 93, beloved husband of Nancy Louise Locklair DuBois, died on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at his residence. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was a son of the late Edmund E. DuBois and Mabel V. Moore DuBois. Ed graduated from Poughkeepsie Public Schools. He was a Navy veteran and served during WWII. Ed went to work with IBM and retired as a manager after 41 years of service. He served on the board of the IBM Country Club and was a member of the American Legion in Murells Inlet, SC. He also served as a volunteer fireman with Engine Company #3 in Red Oak Mills. In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by; a daughter, Deborah Driscoll; four grandchildren, Todd Driscoll, Kimberly Tremper and her husband Joshua, Kevin DuBois and Michael DuBois; two great grandchildren, Claire DuBois and Conor Tremper. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by; his first wife, Iva Lou DuBois; two sons, Stephen DuBois and Richard DuBois; three sisters, Constance DuBois, Ernestine Bedell and Muriel Bozsik. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Holley and Rev. Lynn Gardner officiating.
