The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rowland Burns, and the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Allan Preston Bruner III and Mrs. Richard "Dick" Buchanan Burns and the late Mr. Burns, all of Sumter. She graduated from Sumter High School and Clemson University, magna cum laude. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Leon Jenkins of Trussville, and the grandson of Billy Wayne Anderson of Fyffe, Ala., Mrs. Ann Anderson of Rainsville, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Junior Jenkins of Pisgah, Ala. He graduated from the International Baccalaureate High School of Jefferson County, University of Alabama Honors College, magna cum laude, and will begin Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Ala., in August. He is an associate in the college ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa. The Rev. Christopher Michael Brooks officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by the string trio, Classical Charleston. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a candlelight satin and luxe taffeta strapless gown featuring a sweetheart neckline crisscrossed with pleats, a mermaid skirt with trumpet flare hem, covered buttons running the entire back of the gown, and a chapel-length Tiffany train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white hydrangeas, lisianthus, ivory and versilia roses and white ranunculus. Sarah Woodside Burns served as maid of honor. Makenzie Shipes Smith served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Katheryn Elisabeth Jenkins, Chelsea Lauren Lockridge, Mary Elizabeth Staggs, Katherine Lee Swathwood and Elizabeth Ross Wall. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Charles Rowland Burns Jr., Richard Banks Burns, Miller Jacob Coop, Griffin Thomas Gulledge, William Tyler Steadham and Joshua Victor White. Ushers were David Stanley Alexander and Nathan Scott Kozlowski. The bride's parents held the reception on the lawn at Brookland Pointe. The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at The Yacht Club at Edisto Beach. Following a wedding trip to Charleston, the couple will reside in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
