Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Bethany Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late H.L. and Lillie Scott Powell. Mrs. McGee was retired from Avon Dale Manufacturing Co., a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church, and the Hattie Kirby Circle of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde McGee; a stepdaughter, Judy Lane; a stepson, Laverne McGee; two sisters, Elise Wiley and Ramona Zourdes; and a brother, Jackie Smith. Surviving are a daughter, Peggy M. Levine of Timmonsville; three stepdaughters, Rachel M. Lee of Timmonsville, Frances M. McLaughlin of Effingham and Louise Tallent of August, Ga.; three stepsons, Charles McGee of Jacksonville, Fla., and Frank McGee and Robert McGee, both of Timmonsville; two sisters, Gladys Atkinson of Sumter and Thelma Tolson of Timmonsville; two brothers, LeRoy Powell of Sumter and Coley Powell of California; five grandchildren; and 15 step-grandchildren.
