Berry, died Friday, March 28, 2025, at her home. Born March 29, 1933, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Ezra Morris and Geneva Baker Morris. Mrs. Berry was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church. She was formerly employed with Hill Printing Company. Survivors include two sons, Gary Berry Sr. (Wanda) and Ricky Berry (Lisa), both of Sumter; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Kaye Hodge, and 10 siblings. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Rev. Gary Berry Jr. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Berry, Rusty Harrington, Gabe Berry, William Lucas, Ronnie Morris and Jimmy Ardis. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Ricky and Lisa Berry.
