| HIST | of Rock Hill, South Carolina Edward James "Jim" Buddin James Buddin ROCK HILL Mr. Edward James "Jim" Buddin, 73, loving husband of Frances McElveen Buddin, passed away September 25, 2015. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Greene Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, with the Rev. Gene Ammons officiating. Mr. Buddin was born in Manning, SC, the son of the late Carroll and Ruby Poston Buddin of Sardinia, SC. As a graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College, Erskine College, East Tennessee State University, and Winthrop College, he dedicated 47 years of his life to educating students within the Rock Hill and Fort Mill School Districts. The majority of his career was spent as principal of Castle Heights Junior High School (27 years) and assistant principal at Rock Hill School (11 years). His favorite pastimes were spending time with his family, telling one-liners, and following sports - especially the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. He was also an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church, where he served on various committees, taught Sunday School and was chairman of church council. Surviving in addition to his wife, are his daughters, Becca (Jeff) Bowyer of Rock Hill, Robin (Bob) Rolin of Irmo, and Rachael (Marshall) Carter of Seabrook Island; grandchildren Maggie and Alex Bowyer, Kennedy and Katherine Davis, and Nettie and Neva Carter; sisters, Carol Ann Cook of West Columbia, Judy (Brad) Carty of Palm Bay, FL, and Cindy (Dennis) Gordon of Sumter; and many beloved nieces and nephews, James was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Shelby Bingham. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Greene Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, from 4-6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Sam and Bobbie Poston Endowed Scholarship, 1000 Powell Mill Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301 or the Wayne T.
