| HIST | Theo A. Ross Sr. Theo A. Ross Sr., 71, died Saturday, Jan 12, 1991, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center in Sumter. Born in Pinewood, he was a late David J. and Frances Walker Ross. He was a World War II Army veteran. He retired as a farmer and dairyman and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Oswego. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Mathis Ross, of the home; two sons, Theo A. Ross Jr. of Rembert and Dr. John Ross of Bamberg, three brothers, David J. Ross Jr. of Baltimore, Md., Eugene W. Ross of Sumter and A. J. “Jack” Ross of Olanta; two sisters, Mrs. E. C. (Katherine) Weatherly Jr. and Mrs. James (Mary Sue) Shealy of Sumter; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Chapel of Elmore-Hill Funeral Home, with burial in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
