| HIST | Diana J. Gradwell Diana Justyne Leonovich Gradwell, 63, passed on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Miriam (Saari) Leonovich. She grew up in New York City and graduated from Wagner College in 1969. After living in Littleton, Colo., Belle Mead, N.J., Tully, N.Y., and Mount Pleasant most of her life, she recently retired from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston and relocated to Sumter to be close to family. Ms. Gradwell attended Seacoast Church in Manning, enjoyed water aerobics with her friends at the YMCA and quilted with the Swan Lake Quilt Guild. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, George and Patricia Leonovich of The Villages, Fla.; her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Shannon Gradwell of Sumter; her daughter and son-in-law, Erica Gradwell and Mark Skinner of Arvada, Colo.; three grandchildren, Taylor Alexis Gradwell, Zachary Thomas Gradwell and Dillon Gradwell Skinner, as well as her two nephews, Alex and Michael Leonovich, and their families.
