It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Scotty Hatchell (Newberry, South Carolina), born in Hartsville, South Carolina, who passed away on September 26, 2019, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Shelby Wells, Sr. and Pearl Pauline Hatchell Wells; his sons, David Hatchell and Paul Hatchell; his step-daughter Brigitte Wheeler. He is survived by : his wife Millie Hatchell; his children, William Scott Hatchell, Jr., Elaine Hatchell and Carol Hatchell McMurtry; his step-son Johnny Wheeler; his siblings, Dorothy Hollar, Barbara Ann Sercer and John S. Wells, Jr.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
