Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence William and Mellie Lois Brown Pierce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore W. Floyd; a son, Bobby Floyd; two sisters, Joyce Gibbons and Jettiebyrd Windham; and three brothers, Cleo Pierce, Dewey Pierce and Cletus Pierce. Surviving are two sons, Donald T.
