Charles Wells Linam half brother to Marshal Bracey Linam: Charles Wells Linam was born in South Carolina on December 3, 1828. He married Sarah Lois Kelly, the daughter of Mary Pack and Daniel Kelly. Sarah was born on 1827. According to the 1860 Census of South Carolina, Charles was living in Clarendon District in the town of Packsville. The census indicates that he was a farmer and that his real estate was valued at $1,200 and his personal property was valued at $3,700. Charles and Sarah had one child Portia Mary Ann Linam (1853-1884), who married on May 5, 1866, Thomas Park Cuttino (1845-1880). Charles died in 1867 and Sarah died in 1898. Charles and Sarah were buried in the Paxville Cemetery in Paxville, South Carolina.
