| HIST | Frances Buddin Frances McElveen Buddin ROCK HILL - Frances McElveen Buddin passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017, at the age of 70. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill on Saturday, December 23 at 10 am with the Rev. Dr. Gene Ammons officiating. Visitation will be held immediately after the service. Frances was the daughter of the late Robert Ellie and Nettie Ziegler McElveen of Kingstree, SC. A graduate of Winthrop College, she spent an additional 18 years there as an employee of the School of Consumer Science. She continued her career for another 15 years at Belk Store Services in Charlotte. After her retirement she found friendship and joy through her work at the Stitch and Frame Shop. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sewing, cross-stitch, and cheering for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. She was also an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church, where she served on various church and district committees. Frances is survived by her daughters Becca (Jeff) Bowyer of Rock Hill, Robin (Bob) Rolin of Irmo, and Rachael (Marshall) Carter of Seabrook Island; grandchildren, Maggie and Alex Bowyer, Kennedy and Katherine Davis, and Nettie and Neva Carter; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, James Buddin and her brother, Robert McElveen. Memorials may be made to the Epworth United Methodist Church (620 Briarcliff Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730), the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (107 Westpark Boulevard Suite 150, Columbia, SC 29210), or the Wayne T.
