Elizabeth was the loving wife of Charles Hinson, with whom she recently celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary. She was born in Sumter County, a daughter of the late John Thomas "J.T." Hudson and Josie Leigh Hudson (Johnson). Survivors include her husband, Charles Hinson of Pinewood. She was the loving mother of her two sons, Patrick Smith of Waldon, North Carolina, and Kevin Smith of Pinewood; and five grandchildren, Raegan Smith, Brantley Smith, Ryanne Smith, Hallie Smith and Palmer Smith. Elizabeth loved being in love with Charles and loved him more than words can describe. He was the love of her life. She loved her sons, Patrick and Kevin; they gifted her with the opportunity to be "Mimi" to her grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was known as "Mimi" to many, especially the children that she cared for in her home. She had a passion for decorating and could make any crafts within minutes. She enjoyed cheering for Clemson football. She was a member of Pinewood Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and celebrated joining Him in heaven. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Pinewood Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Gray and the Rev. Bennie Barwick officiating. The burial will be in Pinewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Harris, David Bishop, James Fitzgerald, Michael Alvin, Carl Broadway and Leslie McIntosh. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home, 515 Miller Road, Sumter. Memorial contributions may be made to Pinewood Baptist Church.
