| HIST | RICHARD WAYNE HILL Posted Tuesday, June 28, 2022 6:00 am MANNING - Richard Wayne Hill, 72, husband of Paula Morris Hill, died on Friday, June 24, 2022, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence. Born on Nov. 17, 1949, in Manning, he was a son of the late William Thomas Hill and Mattie Mae Mixon Lowery. Mr. Hill owned and operated several bar and grill establishments, including Stix, Rick's Bar and Grill and Point After Bar and Grill. Survivors in addition to his wife of 39 years include six children, Michele Creed (Steve), Gina DuBose (Dwayne), David Dickerson (Christina), Wayne Hill II, Russell Dickerson (Justice) and Nikki Seghetti; 21 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rhonda Ahtonen (Charlie) and Eileen Cole (James); a brother, Leonard Grooms; a brother-in-law, Robert Sturgeon; a sister-in-law, Paula Hill; two nieces; and three nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, James "Bud" Hill; and a sister, Marilyn Sturgeon. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1217 Crews Drive, Manning.
