Martin Collins, 90, widow of Coy Collins, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2022, following a short illness at Prisma Health Richland Memorial. Born in Gallivants Ferry, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Ora Melissa Grainger Martin. Mrs. Collins was a member of Concord Baptist Church. She loved her church and church family. She was a seamstress at Pioneer Dress and retired from Glenn Manufacturing. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann Lighthill of Sumter; two sons, Mitchell Collins of Sumter and Charles Collins (Starr) of Columbia; four grandchildren, Heidi Coursey (Billy), Heather Collins, Christopher Lighthill (Nikki) and Brooke Menser (Ron); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother; and four sisters. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Prisma Health Tuomey ER, Prisma Health Richland Memorial Neurology ICU, Hospice and Palliative Care. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Clark officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
