Three public forum meetings to discuss the private roads application process were announced. While one occurred on Oct. 16 at Catchall Community Center, two are upcoming. You can visit Eastern Community Center, 3675 E. Brewington Road, at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, or Salterstown Community Center, 800 Salterstown Road, at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, to learn more and provide input on the process by which private roads whose residents unanimously petition can ultimately go under county ownership and maintenance. The third reading of OA-25-05, Amendment to Residential Development Standards, passed unanimously, making the ordinance that refines county development code go into effect. This involved simplification and clarification of definitions and standards, as well as standardization with city code to facilitate streamlined development. The county proclaimed Oct. 19-25 as Respiratory Care Awareness Week, presenting a plaque to Prisma Health Tuomey representatives at the Oct. 14 meeting. The proclamation serves to highlight and honor the efforts of care workers who support education and care for community members living with respiratory illnesses. [1] | |
