- Laurence was his brother, John Eaton’s, executor of will. Larry Hyman, brother of Eaton Hyman, was born in 1792. His wife’s given name was Martha. Their children have been tentatively identified from a detailed study of Probate Records, Marion, S. C., census and family records as follows: John W. Hyman, born 18 June 1811, died 25 Nov. 1861, married widow, Martha A. Cain [mother of Thomas Church Cain], no children; Darthy [Dolly] Hyman, born 5 June 1816, died 11 July 1874, married John Wesley Finklea, children, William Eugene, George Commander, John L., Samuel Benjamin, Sarah R., Andrew J., Sarah Elizabeth; Canna Hyman, born 2 Aug. 1818, died 1864, married Seana Stone, children, William L., Frances Eleanor, Calvin Ezra, Rectina, Ferdinand Gyp, Palmyra Eugene, Cam Bass, Amanda Louise, Bryant A., George Frank; Mary Hyman Cain; a daughter who married Clayton Flowers and had two children-- Elizabeth N. and Robert N. Flowers; Martha Hyman Turner, born 1828; Thomas Hyman; James S. Hyman, born 1834; Benjamin Hyman; Welthy Hyman Hutchinson; Malachi Hyman Jones; Eaton Hyman. Larry Hyman died in 1856 and his wife, Martha, in 1860. The stones at their graves in the Beulah Baptist Cemetery, Hyman, S. C., were erected in 1861 by John W. Finklea in accordance with request in will of John W. Hyman. [1]
