Born on Oct. 30, 1946, in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Donald and Dorothy Irick Bradley. He was a member of Sumter First Baptist Church and attended Southside Baptist Church. He retired from Power Clean Systems. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the South Carolina Army National Guard. Survivors include his wife; two children, Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Bays (Jeffrey) and Gregory Allen Bradley (Penny); four grandchildren, Charles Allen Bradley (Jamielee), Bradley Dale Bays (Emily), Brittany Bays Cook (Brent) and Caitlyn Bradley Coleman (Garrett); 11 great-grandchildren; two stepsons, G. Douglas Chappell (Nancy) and M. Dennis Chappell (Karen); five step-grandchildren, G. Douglas Chappell Jr., Peter Adam Chappell, Cory Wilkinson (Katie), Parker Chappell Rouse (Michael) and Adrian Player Chappell (Kristin); six step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Bradley; and former wife, Barbara McLeod Glover. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be G. Douglas Chappell and M. Dennis Chappell. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.  [1, 4]
