  HIST	Sarah HUNDLEY was born about 1735 in Amelia Co., VA ?.21 She died in 1827 in Lincoln Co., KY.20 Sarah was a housewife and mother. In the Kingston Parrish Register, page 16 the birth of a Sarah Hunley is recorded as: "Hunley, Sarah, daughter of John and Mary, born 1/25/1758 baptised 2/19/1758. If this were Christophers wife she would have been under 5 with this marriage date! She was married to Christopher (Columbis ?) SINGLETON (son of Robert SINGLETON II and Aves or Avis UNKNOWN) between 1755 and 1757 in Orange Co., Virginia. Notes of Leonard Singleton indicate the marriage may have been 1757 in Caroline Co., VA to Lucy Singleton.. In the Caroline Co., VA Court Order books, 13 July 1759 Francis Hundley is ordered to pay Sarah Singleton 175 pounds of tobacco for seven days' attendence as an evidence for her against Stevens. The same day, Wm. & Mary Stevens are ordered to pay Chr. Singleton 300 pounds tobacco as an evidence for them ads. Hundley. It appears they were married by this date. Sarah testified for her family in this slander case, Christopher against it. Ruth Liner's notes state married Caroline Co., VA 1757.22 Christopher (Columbis ?) SINGLETON22,23,24 was born about 1735 in VA ?.22,25 Ruth Liners' group sheet has him as born 1733 in England. Source: Singletonfamily.org  [3]
