Chase, died on Friday, June 12, 2020, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Born on Dec. 18, 1960, in Sumter, he was a son of Benjamin "Ben" W. and Alice Benenhaley Chase. He was a technical training and development manager with Subaru of America, until his retirement in 2017. He also worked as an independent investigator for Bosch Corp. USA. He enjoyed working in his garden and tending to his farmland. Survivors in addition to his wife of nearly 31 years of Pinewood and parents of Dalzell include two daughters, Jessica Gainey (Scott) and Lyndsey Chase (Scott), both of New Jersey; one son, Larry D. "Donnie" Chase Jr. (fianc , Blakeney Coleman) of Loris; five grandchildren, Abigail, Dylan, Kyle, Brooke and Kelsey; one sister, Renee Pridgen (Tim) of Greenwood; one brother, Chip Chase (Brenda) of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Springbank Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. A public viewing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 181 E. Evans St., BTC-009, Suite 200, Florence, SC 29506. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.  [1, 5]
