| HIST | home at Red Hill Harvey D. Shaw REMBERT — Harvey Daniel Shaw, 87, widower of Martha Geddings Shaw, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Willie D. Shaw and Mamie Baker Shaw. Mr. Shaw was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church at Springhill. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a mason and was retired from DuPont. Surviving are four sons, Daniel J. (Julia) Shaw of Boiling Springs, Glen “Willie” (Faye) Shaw of Springhill and Tony D. Shaw and Gary Shaw, both of Spartanburg; two sisters, Madge Harwick of Sumter and Esther Blackmon of Alcolu; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s United Methodist Church at Springhill with the Rev. Pat Amick officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s United Methodist Church Cemetery at Springhill. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church, in care of Mrs. Libby Keeling, 855 WSK Farm Road, Sumter, SC 29153.
