Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Edward and Elease Ward Galloway. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two daughters, M. Francine Brown of Manning and Elizabeth M. Maldonado of Sumter; a son, Larry W. Brown of Kershaw; two sisters, Margie Geddings and Sallie Mae Barkley, both of Sumter; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Manuel "Pumpkin" Maldonado and Antonio "Tony" Maldonado; a daughter, Cynthia B. Nunnery; four brothers, Joseph M. Galloway, Harts Galloway, Thomas Galloway and Jim Henry Galloway; and a sister, Sadie Hodge. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Geddings Cemetery with the Rev. Dale Turner and the Rev. G.W. Harrell officiating. Memorials may be made to New Start Community Church of the Nazarene, 4686 J.W. Rhames Road, Manning, SC 29102.
