| HIST | THOMAS J. RICHBURG Jr. Thomas Judson Richburg Jr., 75, husband of Dorothy Jean Turner Richburg, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Thomas Judson Richburg Sr. and the late Mittie Ardis Richburg Ratliff. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church and was a self-employed wood worker. Survivors besides his wife include four children, Kimberly Jean "Kim" Richburg, Thomas Allen Richburg, Constance Marie "Connie" Ulmer and her husband, Rush, and Charles T. "Richie" Richburg, all of Sumter; five grandchildren, Amanda Ashleigh "Mandi" Geddings and her husband, Chris, Matthew Brian Richburg, Caitlyn Nicole Richburg, Rush Free Ulmer IV and Judson Turner Ulmer; two brothers, J.B. Richburg and Ray Elwood Richburg, both of Sumter; and a sister, Elvia A. Terry of Sumter. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Charles "Chuck" Richburg. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. William M. Lewis Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Jordy Johnson, Nelson Johnson, Allan Thigpen, Luke Hendrix, Freddie Edmunds and Whit Shaw. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the Rush Free Ulmer Foundation, c/o Donna Bridges, 2800 Loretto Drive, Sumter, SC 29150.
