  HIST	Source gives Edwin b. 1836 and Camilla b. abt 1836 a daughter named Camilla Plowden who married J. Alton Eadon 1904-1965, however that makes them 72 years old at the death of her birth. Camilla’s obituary gives her parents as Miles Hampton And Sallie Williford Plowden. I am moving her to Edwin’s brother- Miles Dickey Plowden who married Camilla White, son- Miles Hampton Plowden b. 1859. He was named for his grandfather. He left wife Margaret Camilla (White) with one infant child (Miles Hampton Plowden II). MHP II, first married Vermell "Mell" Valentine Gamble and they had together: - John Edwin - Clyde Augustus - Margaret (Howle) - Robert William - Vermille - Mary Louise (Magee) - Hannah MHP II second married Sarah May "Sallie" Williford and they had together: - Helyn (Whitley) - Miles Hampton III, (1905 - 1981) Married Alethea, - Camilla (Eadon), (1908 - 2005) MHP II's third wife born 17 Mar 1855 was Mary Cantey Boyd, the daughter of William S. Boyd and Laura Nelson Covert. She was first married to Isaac Pressley Mouzon who died in 1910. Mary died 5 Mar 1949 and is buried in Williamsburg Presbyterian Cemetery, Kingstree, South Carolina. Clyde Wetteland crwetteland@gmail.com There seems to a lot of confusion in our cross-emails.  Some of the confusion is documented in the Singleton ancestry, as with the origin of Camilla (Plowden) Eadon.  I have done some additional research and have come to evidence-based conclusions about this family. 1.  Miles Dickey Plowden probably does not exist.  This name is a conflation of the name Edwin Dickey Plowden, and the names of Edwin's father and/or Edwin's first son, both named Miles Hampton Plowden.  Evidence:  Primarily that in the 1850 census shows Edwin Dickey, age 14, living with his parents Miles Hampton and Martha Lenoir, no mention of Miles Dickey).  Additionally, there are the two boys of Margaret Camilla White named 1) Miles Hampton Jr. and Edwin Dickey Jr.  (note she has no children named Miles Dickey Jr.) 2. Margaret Camilla White is the wife of Edwin Dickey Plowden.  Evidence:  Primarily that the 1860 census shows Edwin D. Plowden married and living with "M. C." and their first child Miles Hampton Jr. (11 months).  Additionally, as mentioned above, their second child is named Edwin D. Jr. 3.  Camilla Plowden, born in 1908, is the daughter of Miles Hampton Plowden Jr. and his second wife, Sallie May Williford.  Sallie was born in 1874 making her about 34 when Camilla was born.  MHP Jr's first wife, Vermell Gamble died in 1897.  The first seven children of Miles Hampton Jr. were born before 1897, and three subsequent children were born in 1902, 1905, and 1908.  (There are some listings that show Sallie as being a nickname and that Sarah is her real name).
