"Buster" Elmore Sr., died Friday, March 4, 2011, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Gabriel Baker and the late Lillie Beasley Bradley. She was retired from Santee Print Works. Survivors include two sons, Gene Bonnette (Cindy) of Columbia and Daniel Bonnette (Rhonda) of Sumter; one daughter, Paula Richardson (Rob) of Sumter; one step-son, Russell Elmore (Stella) of Sumter; nine grandchildren, Eric Bonnette, Adam Bonnette, Audrey Richardson, Michael Richardson, Russ Elmore, Stephen Elmore, Robin Elmore, Raven Elmore, and Eddie Elmore; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Elmore was preceded in death by one son, Michael Bonnette; and one step-son, Theo E. Elmore Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Robert Rivers officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Mark Huggins, Luke Hendrix, Charles Radcliffe, Rob Richardson, Zach Atkinson and Terry Bass will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 2830 September Drive. Memorial contributions may be made to New Salem Baptist Church, 2500 W Oakland Ave., Sumter, SC 29154. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
