Susie was born in Sumter, a daughter of the late Josiah and Ella Sessions Brunson. She was a lifetime member of Grace Baptist Church. She lived her life fully through her career, church service and many volunteer activities. She is survived by her brother, James Brunson; two daughters, Mary and Nancy Tisdale; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends. She loved well and was much loved. Donations in her memory can be made to Grace Baptist Church, 219 W. Calhoun St., Sumter. A private graveside service will be held in her honor at Sumter Cemetery.
