Posted Wednesday, April 30, 2025 11:58 am John Robert Galloway Jr., affectionately known as “Boo Boo,” passed away at his home on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on Dec. 20, 1970, he was the son of Mary Francis Truett Galloway and the late John Robert Galloway Sr. John is survived by his loving mother, Mary Francis Galloway; his two sons, John R. Galloway III (Danielle) and Rusty W. Galloway (Ashley); four cherished grandchildren, Conlee, Reese, Wade and Alec; and his brother, Michael Galloway (Angie), all of Sumter. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by three brothers, Thomas Carraway, Jody Galloway and Ronnie Galloway. A skilled plumber by trade, John took great pride in passing his knowledge and work ethic on to his sons. He loved his family deeply and will be remembered for his sense of humor and the love he gave to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4, in Paxville Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Nat Brown. The family will receive friends at the home of his mother, 611 E. Liberty St., Lot 18, Sumter. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements. [1, 2, 3] | |
